OMOUS-2026: Uzbek students achieved high results in the International Mathematics Olympiad

On March 23-28, 2026, the VI Open International Mathematics Olympiad (OMOUS-2026) was held in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan. This prestigious scientific competition brought together more than 600 talented students from all over the world.

A total of 87 teams from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Germany, UAE, Iran, Russia, Netherlands, Hungary, Greece, and host Turkmenistan participated in the Olympiad, testing their knowledge and potential in mathematics.

At this prestigious international stage, 151 talented students from 26 higher education institutions in our republic defended the honor of our homeland. Also, 8 experienced professors and teachers worked as part of the international jury.

🔹The youth of Uzbekistan achieved truly high results at this year’s Olympiad. In total, they managed to win 103 medals in individual competitions and 57 medals in team events!

📌 Individual competitions:

➡️Category A (by specialty): our students won a total of 51 medals, owning almost 33 percent of the total medals in this category.

🔹 Gold: 3
🔹 Silver: 7
🔹 Bronze: 41

➡️B category (non-specialized): in this direction, our youth also won 52 medals and showed a high result.

🔹 Gold: 10
🔹 Silver: 9
🔹 Bronze: 33

📌 Team competitions:

Of the 21 teams from Uzbekistan that participated in the team competitions, 12 took a worthy place among the winners:

🔹 Silver: 20
🔹 Bronze: 27
